The playroom was destroyed, the stockings were flopping on the ground, the packages & bows were all gone. The food was consumed, the treats all a distant memory & the Christmas music now sickening. So, we've cleaned up the playroom, we've put away the stockings & taken the boxes to recycling. We've made more treats & have moved on to music that will inspire us for the coming New Year.
After feeling the miracle of the story of Christ's birth, it always seems appropriate to me that a new year quickly follows. Another chance, another reminder to keep Christ close & let him lead & guide us in the year to come. Mavaney will turn 8 this year & for those familiar with our religion, you will know this brings a big decision for Mavaney this year, her baptism into our church. She is not quite ready, but we are working on it & enjoying seeing her testimony grow with each new bit of knowledge she gains of the gospel. She'll let us know when she's ready & we will be so happy for her at that time.
I wish all of you a New Year filled with New Hope, New Memories & New Adventures!!
