The ice storm was a good opportunity for us to show our kids the importance of people's jobs. It was also a great time to show them how blessed we are & how important it is to think of others during hard times. It was just full of good learning material. One way I pushed this to the next level was to have the kids make big thank you cards for the workers at the Water Co. & the Electric Co. We also made one for our mailperson because they came & delivered our mail when the mailboxes still were not very easy to get to. I just love the stuff they came up with. Hopefully you can click the photo & see it enlarged.

How sweet is that? That was a great idea! I really love that the kids did that. What did the people saw when the kids gave it to them? Supre cool idea Maria!
Great Idea!!! Always good to thank those that help us - we all like to hear thank you - so good for you to help teach your kids that!
