This is the first year since we have been married that we have had a real tree & it was also our first year to participate in Trees for Troops which they do at military posts all over the country. It was in the low 30's & very, very cold so we did our best to bundle up, but somehow gloves & hats were forgotten for some & some were not sufficient enough for others. Live & learn.
The trees were already lined up & when it hit 5:00 pm we were allowed to just head out in the bunch & pick just the right tree for our family.
This was just part of the line of people in front of me.
Mark took the kids across the street a ways to see the tree lighting ceremony & they didn't come back for almost 30 minutes so I had to pick out the tree myself, but I would like to think all the times of going with my parents helped me to make a good decision.
