No Party for the Princess today.
Regrettably, we had to cancel Isabelle's birthday party today. She woke up with body aches, a headache & a very bad stomach ache. She is the one that made the decision to postpone the party & it broke my heart to see her try to be such a big girl about it. She knew she didn't feel good enough to have her friends come over, yet she has been counting down the days to this very day TODAY for over a month. My mom & I stayed up really late last night getting things ready & I promised her we would leave them up until we had her party, so now our office looks like a fairy hideaway & will for the remainder of the week more than likely. What fun, hahaha. So, we're past the tears & she is now bundled up downstairs watching Mermaidia. Poor thing.....

Poor little thing! It's just not right to be sick on your birthday. What a great mom you are to keep all the decorations up. I hope she gets to feeling better soon.

Chandi stole the words right out of my mouth, Okay, okay... so she said them first. You are a great mom to leave up the decorations and duck and dodge them daily for a week. but it will make a great memory. Try to take a photo of her in her jamies, thermometer in her mouth, sitting sadly under the crepe paper. She'll love to recall (and share) this bitter sweet day when she has children of her own. This birthday celebration is lasting longer than any she's ever had... or will likely have.
